Hello to everyone and thank you for a wonderful weekend!
It was really great for me to see everyone again and to meet a few new folks.

Also, it was my first time to train with Daiyu Sensei. I'd heard so much about him from Lia Sensei and I was glad to finally get the opportunity. Thank you again to all the Santa Barbara folks for your warm hospitality and great training. I miss you all already. Thanks especially to Lia Sensei for keeping the connection with Takeda Sensei alive.

Here are a few photos. I'm working on the rest of them and will post them as soon as they're edited. I'll put them up on the AKI gallery and also send a CD to anybody who wants one. Give me a bit of time...

Great weekend!

It was nice to meet all the people I didn’t know and to see all I did. Thank you all for your hospitality (especially John, for putting up with us). I hope to train with you all again soon.

I would also like to thank Lia Sensei for bringing such an inspiring person like Daiyu Sensei. He is very impressive and I hope to train with him again soon.

Thank you to all for a great weekend. It was hot but we made it through. It was awesome to see all the PA people again and to meet and train with Daiyu Sensei. He was a lot of fun to train with and I look forward to many future meetings with him. Thanks again.

Thanks for posting photos, Steve!

Yes, it was a great weekend! Thank you to everyone who came from far away (PA, LA, Japan!) to train with us! It was wonderful to see you all again.

It was so nice for me to train and spend time with Daiyu Sensei again, too. It brought back lots of memories and also gave me many new ideas to experiment with.

And thank you to all the SB members who organized and ran the gasshuku!! The weekend ran very smoothly!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos and training together again soon!

Lia

The Gasshuku was FUN ... and intense for me. Thank you to all and, especially, Daiyu Sensei, a real nice gentle man. Thanks to John for use of his place. Thanks to Gene for ferrying us around. Thanks to Dan for his caring. Congratulations to Nick and Steve.
